Three melanoma cell lines—LM-MEL-33, LM-MEL-35, and LM-MEL-64—were established at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Melbourne from patient tumor samples. SK-MEL-28 and MCF7 were obtained from the American Type Culture Collection. All cell lines were authenticated by short-tandem repeat profiling (CellBank Australia) and cultured for <6 months after authentication. Cells were maintained in RF10 medium, which is made up of RPMI 1640 medium (Gibco), 10% fetal bovine serum (Gibco), 2 mM GlutaMAX (Gibco), and 1% penicillin-streptomycin (Gibco), and kept in a humidified incubator in 5% CO2 at 37°C. All cell lines were routinely tested for mycoplasma.
