Samples were cut into the same form and the dry weight (W0) of each sample was measured before the test. Then, the dry samples were immersed in deionized water at 37 °C and incubated for 10 min to make them reach the saturated water absorption. At different time points, the samples were then taken out and gently dabbed on filter papers to remove the excess water on the surface, and the wet weight of the samples (Wt) was immediately measured.
