专注于植物基因组编辑完成了一系列高质量研究工作。作为核心研究人员开发了基于Golden Gate的高效TALEN体系被全世界超过1500个实验室广泛使用。主持国家转基因重大专项子课题、国家自然科学基金、四川省青年科学基金等项目,相关研究成果以第一及通讯作者发表于Nature Plants、Genome Biology、Genome Research、Molecular Plant、Plant Physiology等期刊,SCI引用超过4000次,8篇论文入选ESI高被引论文,3篇论文同时入选ESI热点论文。
